The Azteca Obsidiana Pad is a professional training tool inspired by the strength and wisdom of the ancient Aztec civilization. Its double-sided design delivers two distinct playing experiences.

The Azteca side features the iconic Aztec calendar, a medium-density brown rubber playing surface, and a high-density rubber rim that recreates the rebound and volume of a medium-tuned snare drum.

The Obsidiana side features an extra-thick, virtually indestructible Phylon rubber surface that provides higher rebound and a firmer feel, similar to a tightly tuned snare drum.

Both sides are built on a thick wooden base for outstanding stability and long-lasting durability.

The Azteca side offers medium rebound and moderate volume, while the Obsidiana side delivers higher rebound with a louder, more powerful response.

• Realistic rimshots.
The Azteca side features an ultra-durable black Phylon rubber rim that replicates the feel of a real drum hoop without the excessive noise of metal, wood, or plastic. Its thickness and density also allow you to strike it like a separate practice surface, producing a distinct sound for developing dynamics and technique.

• Built-in phone holder.
The Obsidiana side includes a secure slot to hold your phone firmly in place, even during intense practice sessions.

• Customizable feel.
Includes two removable 10-mil Mylar sheets that attach in seconds, allowing you to simulate the feel of a marching snare drum or a real drumhead. Additional Mylar sheets are available separately.

• Designed with meaning.
A miniature engraved Aztec calendar appears on both the playing surface and rim, while the Obsidiana side is inspired by ancient volcanic stone and features Quetzalcóatl at its center, just like the center dot on a professional drumhead.
